Abstract:
The secondary application of existing radio signals is one of the solutions to limit radio pollution in today’s high-tech world. The goal is to use the available radio signals in space to solve new tasks that are not related to the main purpose of radio signals.
Algorithms for the secondary use of existing wireless technologies based on available space-based GPS signals are proposed and investigated in the monograph “Secondary Application of Wireless Technologies. Signal and Data Processing from Experimental Studies”. The choice of the GPS system as a signal source is not accidental. This is dictated by the availability of GPS signals from several satellites at any point on the globe at any moment in time. The proposed technologies can be used in security systems, road traffic management systems, control of traffic lights, solving navigation tasks and many others.
Algorithms for detecting and estimating the parameters of moving objects using GPS signals have been studied. Algorithms for the detection and classification of moving objects based on a series of one-factor analysis of variance are proposed and investigated. To better understand and use the basic physical process in the formation of radio shadows from moving objects, a diffraction model of a spherical body has been developed and tested. The resulting model can find application in the study of the direct propagation of the signal phenomenon.
To solve the tasks in the monographic work, methods and algorithms for digital signal processing, probability theory and mathematical statistics, as well as programming in the MATLAB environment, are used.
