Abstract:

This paper presents the development of an integrated simulation model for maritime cybersecurity training, based on a comparative analysis of existing training platforms. The study evaluates leading international and industry solutions, including Cyber-SHIP Lab, Naval Cyber Range, CDeX Maritime Cybersecurity Scenario, SeaSAFER, K-Sim, and NavSim. Through a comparative approach, the strengths and limitations of standalone physical and virtual training environments are identified. Based on the findings, a new integrated hybrid model is developed, conceptually combining real ship-bridge infrastructure with dynamic virtual cyberattack scenarios. The proposed architecture enhances trainee preparedness by simultaneously developing technical competencies, analytical thinking, and crew coordination in managing cybersecurity incidents in the maritime environment.
