Abstract:

This paper examines the main elements of Electromagnetic Protection (EP), including measures for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility, protection of communication equipment, management of electromagnetic emissions, and preventive measures against enemy radio reconnaissance. It presents the definition, basic concepts, and architecture of Software-Defined Radio (SDR). The possibilities for using SDR for electromagnetic protection of military communication systems are considered. The paper also includes a proof-of-concept simulation implemented with GNU Radio for spatial signal analysis using SDR and discusses the practical challenges associated with ensuring coherence when moving from simulation to implementation with multiple SDR devices.
